Our Story

The Worldwide Pentecostal Federation is primarily aimed to bring unity to the  Pentecostal church.

​

It is not a governing body, it has no leaders, however, it does have elected officers (elected by members) to represent Pentecostal beliefs on the world stage. Its purpose is to support members who live in The Spirit and seek to grow the  Kingdom of God.

About The  Worldwide Pentecostal Federation

Welcome to the Worldwide Pentecostal Federation   which seeks  to exist to ensure the tenants of the Pentecostal Church are expressed on the world stage.

Comprising over 700 denominations and many independent churches, Pentecostalism is highly decentralized. No central authority exists, but many denominations are affiliated in small groups.

With over 497 million classical Pentecostals worldwide, the movement is growing in many parts of the world, especially the global South and particularly in the third world.

Since the 1960s, Pentecostalism has increasingly gained acceptance from other Christian traditions, and Pentecostal beliefs concerning Spirit baptism and spiritual gifts have been embraced by non-Pentecostal Christians in both Protestant and Catholic churches through the Charismatic and Evangelical Movement.

Together, we believe the worldwide Pentecostal and Charismatic Christianity numbers over 724 million adherents. While the movement originally attracted mostly lower classes in the global South, there is a new appeal to middle classes.
